We were tasked with helping to make NHS procurement easier recently. Our previous work for NHS North East London lead our recommendation for this project. We helped respond to the requirement with a new brand and website for NHS London Commercial Hub.
NHS London Commercial Hub provides commercial services to London Integrated Care Boards. These include South East London, South West London, North East London and North Central London. Plus the NHS England regional team. Two contracting and procurement teams merged in 2020. The merged team then transferred to be hosted by North East London ICB in 2022. A new name was agreed for the hub in 2023, followed by a new logo designed by our experienced healthcare creatives. Both NHS and NEL ICB brand guidelines were adhered to. Documents, reports, presentation templates, and slides were also created as part of the new brand work.
The Hub team has a long-standing track record of delivery. They are renowned for being subject matter experts in their respective fields. This includes NHS commercial functions including contracting, procurement and e-procurement. The website needed to demonstrate this. We used simple functionality that clearly displays the Hub offer. The specialist expertise, advice, project management and training available is easy to find.
NHS England has set up a digital platform called Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS). This helps streamline the process of procurement of primary care services in England. The new website needed to host information about the PDPS. Local commissioners can use PDPS to call-off and award Alternative Provider Medical Services. It uses an electronically managed list of accredited providers. Our ongoing website maintenance contract now ensures that News, resources, training and events, are already updated.
