CLIENT: Northamptonshire Police
SECTOR: Public Sector
SCOPE: Digital Magazine Publishing | Content Creation Platform
Northamptonshire Police are passionate about better reflecting the diverse communities they serve, and they use Positive Action because they recognised that people with minority identities were coming up against barriers during the recruitment process.
An interactive magazine was developed to help encourage under-represented groups to apply for roles in the Police and support them through the process, ensuring their skills are acknowledged, but without tipping the scales in their favour. The digital magazine means that Police staff could also track engagement and easily update content internally.
The immersive, digital publication means potential candidates interact for longer than a normal newsletter or website. It incorporates media-rich content, video, and animation combined with photography portraying currently under-represented people from all cultures, backgrounds, religions, genders and sexual orientations.
All of Northamptonshire Police talent management is done with inclusivity at its heart, carried out fairly and transparently. Now supporting information can be accessed anywhere, anytime. The interactive publication is responsive, mobile-friendly, and makes considerable cost-savings compared to print. But above all, it is easy for any Police staff to create, add or update content without relying on designers or developers for future editions. Furthermore, printed newsletters and magazines are not environmentally friendly or able to offer such a compelling content experience.
