GWCM were proud to collaborate once again with Oxford University Press (OUP), a world leader in academic publishing, on a high-energy video production for education campaign to promote their flagship English Language Teaching (ELT) title, English File.
As an experienced educational video agency UK-based, we were briefed to create an engaging video series to support the launch of English File 5th Edition. The campaign centred on the new brand concept: The English File Effect, a celebration of those powerful, personal ‘lightbulb’ moments in language learning.
Acting as full-service educational video producers, we delivered the entire creative process from concept to completion. Working closely with OUP’s marketing team, we developed five emotive treatments to dramatise the experience of mastering English. These ranged from a quiet study moment erupting into a rollercoaster ride, to a leap of confidence into a concert performance—each designed to resonate with global teachers and learners.
Our production included full creative development, casting, location sourcing, permits, live-action filming, animation, and post-production. As a talented UK educational video production company, our animation team crafted a bold illustrative style to reflect the energy and joy of learning with English File, seamlessly integrating branded visuals and custom motion graphics.
Deliverables included five 15–20 second animated/live-action vignettes and a 60-second hero video for digital-first channels such as Meta and YouTube, plus use at international ELT events.
This campaign is a strong example of how professional video production for education can emotionally engage learners, spark curiosity, and elevate global brands.
