Client:

Halton Borough Council

Sector:

Public Sector

Scope:

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority agreed a ground breaking deal with government to secure a £500m Single Investment Fund. This fund would help to establish and power improvements to the region's employment and skills, economic development, housing and transport. The Combined Authority are implementing three key, and linked, pieces of work within the employment and skills portfolio; helping to ensure that employers can attract and retain a skilled and productive workforce whilst ensuing that individuals are provided with high quality and responsive education and skills provision to enable them to access, and progress in employment.

Supporting the three strands of work outlined above will be the production of new, and updating of existing, sector and thematic skills for growth agreements, of which GWCM are developing 10 in total. These will be underpinned by sector focussed summary careers materials.
