CLIENT: Oxford University Press
SECTOR: Global Education
SCOPE: Mixed-Media Animation
GWCM partnered with Oxford University Press (OUP), a globally respected name in academic publishing. The project focused on an educational video for its English Language Teaching (ELT) division.
OUP asked us to reimagine an existing corporate video. The goal was a more modern and creative approach. The new video needed to work as a dynamic ELT promotional asset. It also had to perform across international markets. There was a strong focus on Latin America. The aim was to engage audiences who may not be fluent in English. We used compelling edu storytelling animation to support this goal.
We led the project from concept to completion. We created a sharp and accessible script. It captured OUP’s 500-year legacy, research-led mindset, and global ambition. The message was concise and engaging. For the visuals, we proposed a mixed-media animation style. This combined photography, illustration, and motion graphics. The approach helped bridge language gaps and build emotional connection.
To increase regional impact, we created localised versions. These were tailored for Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Each version included culturally relevant characters and settings. All versions stayed consistent with OUP’s global visual identity. A simple colour system helped unify the work.
The final output is a confident, globally sensitive educational marketing video. It reflects OUP’s commitment to advancing learning outcomes and speaks directly to a diverse international audience.
This project highlights our capabilities as a UK-based animation marketing agency for education, with a proven track record in ELT explainer video production, localisation strategy, and brand-led storytelling.
