CLIENT: Oxford University Press
SCOPE: Video Animation | Social Media
Marketing to teachers is a challenge, but social media marketing is a great way to engage the audience. Video animation helps to promote different features and receives good engagement levels for Oxford University Press. The 4 Oxford Online Practice (OOP) video animations we developed received fantastic engagement when launched in 2021 with over 700,000 views overall.
With a global target audience of English language teachers in all three segments: young learners, secondary, and adult, OOP is a digital component that is engaging, fun, motivating, and useful. It is also part of the course package for all Oxford University Press English Language learning courses. Accompanying all Oxford University Press English Language teaching courses it is primarily positioned as a homework tool for blended learning. It contains coursebook audio and video, plus extra interactive practice activities which focus on improving reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar and vocabulary with extra practice outside of the classroom.
Our brief was to help increase traffic to the Oxford Online Practice web page where teachers could watch the promo videos and find out more. Our animations captured the attention of current teachers and potential new customers sparking their interest. We helped to showcase the resource with a series of 4 relatable animations, each under 30 secs, that are thumb-stopping, fresh and different, with a ‘makes-you-want-to-watch-till-the-end’ appeal.
"It was a pleasure working with Gavin and the team on this video project. They understood the concept and what we were trying to achieve straight away. It was a good collaboration with creative and useful suggestions from them as well as a quick response. We will definitely be using them again!"
