BACK TO OUR WORKCLIENT: Warwickshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner
SECTOR: Public Sector
SCOPE: Corporate Logo Brand & Identity Guidelines
GWCM were proud to be appointed by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Warwickshire. As their public sector branding agency we delivered a comprehensive corporate identity design. This came at a pivotal moment in the organisation’s public service journey.
Following the recent Commissioner elections, the OPCC sought a refreshed visual identity. The goal was to reflect its evolving role. This includes bringing local communities closer to policing and supporting victims of crime. It was essential the new brand remained distinct yet complementary to Warwickshire Police. Our task was to create a strong, modern brand and logo. It needed to capture this unique remit. We aimed to establish a consistent visual identity across all corporate communications.
The project began with an in-depth discovery phase. We reviewed existing brand collateral, including legacy logos and identity guidelines. This covered both the OPCC and partner organisations. We also held consultation sessions with the internal communications team. Key stakeholders were involved to fully understand their needs and aspirations.
Our creative approach focused on clarity, cohesion, and credibility. We developed a clean, contemporary logo and colour palette. It balanced professionalism with approachability. We carefully considered its use across digital, print, and co-branded assets. The design language complements Warwickshire Police while standing as a strong, independent brand.
The result is a comprehensive set of corporate brand and identity guidelines. These enable the OPCC team to apply the new identity consistently and confidently. This applies across all channels, both internally and via external partners.
This project was an exciting opportunity for our public sector branding agency. We supported a key civic institution in strengthening its communications. We also helped improve public engagement through effective corporate identity design.
