BACK TO OUR WORKCLIENT: Wandle Housing Association
SECTOR: Social housing marketing
SCOPE: WordPress Website Development
Our social housing marketing experience again paid off with a tender win for Wandle Housing Association. A provider of over 7,000 social and affordable homes. From shared ownership, outright sale, and supported housing across nine south London boroughs. Supporting those who need a home, they help to tackle the shortage of good quality affordable housing. And helping those who would otherwise not be able to afford or own their own home.
Wandle needed to re-purpose their web service. It needs to reflect their current and future ambitions and complements their new online service – MyWandle. Designed a number of years ago, they were seeking a partner to help build and maintain an easy-to-update brochure style website for their customers.
Seeking a development partner with extensive experience developing responsive, accessible, CMS-driven websites, and able to work collaboratively with the incumbent design agency producing the design, GWCM responded to the opportunity.
As an approved supplier on the UK Government’s Crown Commercial Service Digital Outcomes and Specialists Framework, we submitted a competitive tender and was awarded the project.
The new website was built with WordPress, allowing Wandle to easily manage its content. It was split into three key areas: the main customer information and services section, a corporate section, and a careers section. Each section has its own stylesheet, allowing separate branding without the need to create two microsites.
Delivered in just under five weeks, the new website is responsive, accessible, and easy to update.
The new structure provides clear separation between customer, corporate, and careers content while maintaining a consistent user experience. The CMS-driven platform also enables the Wandle team to manage and maintain website content more efficiently.
